Verda Hawkins, 94, of Van Buren, died Sunday March 27, 2011 in a local nursing home.
She was a homemaker and a seamstress specializing in childrens clothing, a lifelong resident of Crawford County.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Julian Hawkins.
She is survived by one daughter, Rita Roth of League City, Texas; three sons, Jerry Don Hawkins of Van Buren, Lonnie Hawkins of Bethany, Oklahoma, and Micky Hawkins of Evansville, Arkansas; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; two brothers, Leamon Brown of Minneapolis, MN and Kenton Brown of Alma.
Pallbearers will be Lonnie Hawkins, Jr, Monty Hale, Stevan Hale, Scott Hawkins, Mike Sinclair, John McHazlett and Mark Sinclair.
