Cpt. James E. Hamilton, 71 of Van Buren, Arkansas died Monday, October 4, 2010 at Summit Medical Center in Van Buren.
He was a supervisor over contracts administration for the civil service, a veteran of the Vietnam War, a retired officer in the U.S. Army, a retiree of the civil service, a resident of Crawford County since 2001 where he served as an Americorps member and a member of the Literacy Council in Van Buren.
He was preceded in death by both parents, James & Clara Page Hamilton.
He is survived by his wife, Willa D. Hamilton of the home; two daughters, Connie Juskow of Fishers, Indiana, LaDeanna Titshaw of Hampton, Georgia; one son, Lt. Commander Vincent Hamilton of Bahrain; one sister, Betty Freeman of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; two brothers, Ray Hamilton & Carmen Hamilton both of Tennessee; four grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Saturday October 9th 2010 at 10:00am with Gary Deffenbaugh officiating.
Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery with military honors.
Pallbearers were Army Personnel
