Clyde W. Hailes, 76, of Van Buren died Friday, May 21, 2004, at his home. He was a retired maintenance worker for Allied Garden and an Army veteran. He was preceded in death by a brother, Edward "Doc" Hailes of Tishamingo, Okla., and two sisters, Joyce Riddle of Ravisa, Okla., and Bernice Feaster of Bakersfield, Calif.
Survivors include his wife, Laura Miraglio Hailes of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Anna Hailes Dickens and Gary Dickens of Van Buren and Joyce Hailes Sanders and Wiley Sanders of Fort Smith; one son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Hailes and Kim Hailes of Greenwood; one sister, Jean Mills of Odessa, Texas; sister-in-law, Jean Mills of Odessa, Texas; sister-in-law, Dortha Hailes of Tishamingo, Okla.; grandchildren, Brent Dickens, Kim Holbrook, Kyle Dickens and Cody Hailes, all of Van Buren, Wiley Sanders Jr. of Fort Smith and Kylee Stallings and Easton Stallings of Greenwood; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service was held May 24 at Edwards Van-Alma Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Ronnie Allen, Buddy Allen, Terry Cassalman, Lonnie Dickens, Wesley Martin and Lester Sanders. Honorary pallbearers were members of the 79th T Port Co.

Laura Hailes, 94, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, August 12, 2018 in Fort Smith.
She was born March 30, 1924 in Krebs, OK to the late Joseph and Mickey Miraglio.

She was retired from JCPenney in Fort Smith, and was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. She enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and family, and loved quilting.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Hailes.

She is survived by three daughters, Diana Peters of Houston, Joyce Sanders of Fort Smith, and Anna Dickens and husband Gary of Van Buren; a son, Jimmy Hailes and wife Kim of Greenwood; nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 16, 2018 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.

Pallbearers will be Gary Dickens, Brent Dickens, Kyle Dickens, Cody Hailes, Wylie Sanders, Jr., and Mike Miraglio.
