Elva "Ottis" Gibson, of Van Buren died Thursday, August 7, 2003 in a local hospital.

He was a retired paint contractor and a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Van Buren.

He was survived by his wife, Lucy; two daughters, Carol Parks and Sondra Miller, both of Van Buren; two sisters, Dorothy Comer of Van Buren and Jean Joiner of Houston; a brother, Dough Gibson of Van Buren; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at Ocker Funeral Home with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.

March 25, 1930 - October 7, 2006

Mrs. Gibson was a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, a resident of Van Buren since 1948, she was preceded in death by her husband Otist Gibson.
