Harry Delbert Freeman, 73 of Van Buren died Sunday, May 5, 1996 in a local hospital.

He was retired from KFSM TV after 37 years, where he was in sales, marketing and shows including Fishing Facts and Evening Sports. He was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church, where he was active on the administration board and in the Church Chancel Choir. He was a member of the Fort Smith Optimist Club and was part of the original broadcast team at KFSA TV and the 1950s Radio Morning Drive. He was a graduate of Bradley University and a veteran of World War II.

He was survived by his wife, Virginia Pape Freeman; a daughter, Sissie Mankin of Fort Smith; two sons, Skip of Fort Smith and Bob of Fort Sill, Oklahoma; three sisters, Delberta McKinstry of Chicago, Dorthea Haynes of Peoria, Illinois, and Nellie Crosby of Pasadena, Texas; and six grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Heritage United Methodist Church with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Virginia Pape Freeman, 72 of Van Buren died Tuesday, October 29, 1996 in a local hospital.
She was a member of Heritage United Methodist Church. She was a homemaker, a legal secretary and worked for the County Extension Service, and as an operator at Southwestern Bell Special Assignment to the United Nations in San Francisco when they opened. She was affiliated with Chapter P.P.E.O., Beta Sigma Pi, Master Gardener and she was active in Gamma Club and Spirit of love Circle. She was a graduate of Van Buren High School.

She was the widow of Harry Freeman.
She was survived by a daughter, Margaret "Sissy" Mankin of Fort Smith; two sons, Bob Freeman of Fort Sill, Oklahoma and Skip Freeman of Fort Smith; two brothers, Henry "Sonny" Paper Jr. of Fort Smith and Clay Paper of Tulsa; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Heritage United Methodist Church with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.
