John D. Fear, 72, of Mesa, Arizona, formerly of Van Buren, died Thursday, March 2, 1995 in Mesa.
He was a retired engineer for Capco of Van Buren, a member of Wood Memorial Christian Church, and was a member and past president of both the Van Buren Rotary Club and the Van Buren Chamber of Commerce.
He was the widower of Jean Alice Fear.
He was survived by two daughters, Jacqueline Disbrow of Mesa and Dawn Marie Cook of Afton, Oklahoma; a son, David of Orlando, Florida; a sister, Betty Jean Davis of Decatur, Ill.; three brothers, William and Robert both of Decatur and Thomas of Davenport, Iowa; 14 grandchildren and eight great-granchildren.
Graveside service was held at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Jean Alice Fear, 68, of Van Buren, died Saturday, August 24, 1991 in a Van Buren hospital.
She was born December 2, 1922 in Macon, Illinois to Harry and Edna Mckinley Moothart.
She was a retired employment counselor and a member of Wood Memorial Christian Church, Christian Womens Fellowship, Crawford County Republican Womens Club and Cedars Bridge Club.
She was survived by her husband, John; two daughters, Jacqueline Disbrouw of Mesa, Arizona, and Dawn Lumsden of Afton,Oklahoma; a son, David of Orlando, Fla.; a sister, Harriet Woolsey of Mascoutah, Ill; a brother, Edward Moothart of Belleville, Ill.; an uncle Dean Moothart of Tucson, Arizona; 14 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Ocker Memorial Chapel, officiated by Dr. Will Sessions and Rev. Richard Hubbard with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.
