*Obituary
Mr. Elmer Faubus of Van Buren(Crawford County), Arkansas, died Tuesday, June 17, 2008, in his home. He was 65 years old. Mr. Faubus was employed by Shipley Bakery in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was a lifelong resident of Van Buren.
Mr. Faubus was preceded in death by his daughter: Laura Faubus; and a sister: Edna Sparks.
He is survived by two sons: Glenn Faubus of Van Buren, Arkansas and Tim Faubus of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; three sisters: Mary Jacobs, Patsy Buttress, and Connie Garner, all of Van Buren, Arkansas; one brother: Nolan Faubus of Van Buren, Arkansas; his friend: Sharon Davis; 15 wonderful grandchildren; and 1 precious great-grandchild.
Funeral service was held at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Arkansas on Friday, June 20, 2008, at 2:00p.m. Pastor Gary Vancil officiated the service.
Pallbearers were: Jacob Holt, Darrin Lesley, Glenn Nordin, Albert Webb, Carl Jacobs, and Joe Norried.
Honorary pallbearers were: Eric Helms and John Miller.
