Mrs. Martha M. Collier, 77 year old, lifelong resident of Crawford County, died Sunday night, August 26, 1951 about 8:40pm at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Troy Ireland, 1102 N. 20th St. Van Buren, after suffering a long illness of ovarian cancer.
She was born in Chester on February 12, 1875 and lived in and around Van Buren all her life. She was the daughter of George Washington McCaslin and Frances Elizabeth Ford.

She was the widow of Augustus Souel Collier whom she married January 17, 1897 in Crawford County, Arkansas.

She was a member of St. John's Methodist Church.

Survivors include, Mrs. Troy Ireland, Mrs. Clifford Watson, Mrs. Arthur Boyd; sons, Floyd, Raymond, Willard and George Collier. A sister, Mrs. John Kimes. Twenty-three grandchildren, four great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Funeral services were held on August 28 at 2:00pm at St. John's Methodist Church with Rev. Robert Sessions officiating, assisted by Rev. Martin Bierbaum. Burial was at Gracelawn Cemetery.
