Ernest Burns, 83, of Branch died Saturday, October 30, 2004, in Charleston. He was a retired steel worker for Monarch Steel in Oakland, California, an Army veteran of World War II and the widower of Mildren Burns.
Funeral was held at 9 a.m. Friday at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.
He is survived by a daughter, a sister, a brother, 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
