Arvel R. Bredrick, 92, of Van Buren died Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Sparks Peachtree Palliative Care Unit.

He was a retired self-employed trucker and produce dealer; He was a longtime resident of Crawford County; a U.S. Army Veteran and of the Methodist faith.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Burkhart Bredrick; both parents, Frank & Elizzie Clegg Bredrick; one sister, Dorothy Pinkerton.

He is survived by two daughters, Sue Walker & her husband Ronnie and Margaret Ann Standridge all of Van Buren; six grandchildren, Bev Ramsey, Jill McDowell, Tracey Lincks, Penny Ackerman, Trent Standridge and Misty McEntire; and eight great grandchildren.

Private family service was held with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren.

Pallbearers were Gene Neidecker, Art Folsom, Trent Standridge, Stan Ramsey, Bryant Lincks and Jason McDowell.

Margaret L. Bredrick, 85 of Van Buren died Monday, September 24, 2007.

She was a homemaker and a member of Church of the Nazarene.

She was survived by her husband, Arvel of 63 years; two daughters, Sue Walker and Margaret A. Standridge, both of Van Buren; five sisters, Mildred Ashly and Edna Morrow, both of Houston, Naomi Leach of Hydro, Oklahoma; Carol A. Peepers of Oklahoma City and Denita Sue Maloy of Bella Vista; two brothers, John Coatney of Milton, Florida and Buddy Burkhart of Shirley; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral services were held in Ocker Memorial Chapel with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.
