James (Bill) Bowman, 88 of Van Buren passed away Wednesday, July 12, 2017 in a local hospital.

He retired as the owner of Bowman’s Upholstery in Van Buren. He was a lifelong resident of Crawford County and he and his wife were married fifty-seven years the 28th of June this year.
He is preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be 1PM, Friday, July 14, 2017 at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife Peggy Stamps Bowman of the home; one daughter Patty Bowman of Norman, OK; two sisters Clayceail Brown of Alma and Elsie McCurdy of Rudy; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Rick Stickler, Bill Rhynes, Gary Brown, Kenny Brown, Richard Brammer and Walden Ballentine.

Peggy Belle Bowman, 77 of Van Buren passed away Thursday, September 12, 2018 in a local nursing home.

She was a homemaker and of the Christian faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill Bowman; both parents, Perry and Cly Stamps.

Memorial graveside service will be at 10:00 A.M. Monday, September 16, 2019 at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home Van Buren.

She is survived by her daughter, Patty Bowman of Sulphur, Oklahoma.
