Gale Bennett, 55 of Van Buren died Friday, October 13, 1995in a local hospital.
He was a plant foreman for Capco and was a Freewill Baptist.
He was survived by his wife, Dorothy; two daughers, Melanie Bennett and Cindy Sabin, both of Van Buren, his father, Cecil Bennett of Alma; two sisters, Karen Hesson of Alma and Judy Williamson of Blanchard, Oklahoma; four brothers, Donnie of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Joey of Catoosa, Oklahoma , Clay of Poteau and Bryan of Mulberry; and three grandchildren.
Funeral services were held in Kenner Chapel Freewill Baptist Church with burial at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Dorothy E. Bennett Carr, 79, of Van Buren, passed away Sunday, June 13, 2021.
She was born November 4, 1941 in Van Buren to Wayne and Ellen (Frazier) Bonewell.
She was a homemaker. Dorothy was a dedicated lifelong member of Kenner Chapel Church, and spent a great deal of time volunteering in the community. She was loved by all and leaves behind so many special memories. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Gale Bennett; a sister, Bonnie Percival; and three brothers, Charles, Donald, and Robert Bonewell.
She is survived by her husband, Cecil Carr of the home; two daughters, Melanie Bennett and Cindy Bennett-Sabin, both of Van Buren; three grandchildren, Chris Sabin of Van Buren; Amanda Bond-Pemberton of Cedarville, and Jessica Bond-Metz of Roscoe, IL; and nine great-grandchildren, Sam, Chandler, Samantha, Ryleigh, Reagan, Lauren, Ava, Ryan, and Harper.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 18, 2021 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR. The family will visit with friends from 1:00 p.m. until funeral time.
Pallbearers will be Michael Hesson, Rodney Bonewell, Ronald Bonewell, Matt Bennett, and Roy Pannell. Honorary pallbearers will be Don Bennett, Clay Bennett, Joe Bennett, Bryan Bennett and Randy Bond.
