James Fletcher "Jim" Bell, 78 of Van Buren, died Monday, November 14, 2011 in a local hospital.

He was a retired manager of Gracelawn Cemetery and a former real estate agent. An U.S. Navy Veteran of the Korean War, a member of the V.F.W., life time member of the D.A.V., a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge #6 and former president of the Crawford County Board of Realtors.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Bell and daughter.

He is survived by granddaughter, Tabitha Bell of Van Buren; one sister, Mary Coble of Van Buren; three brothers, Gene Bell of Van Buren, Carl Bell of Springdale and John Bell of Saginaw, Texas; a special friend, Donna Mahfouz of Van Buren and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Friday, November 18 at 10:00 am at Ocker Memorial Chapel with Dr. Scott Maze officiating.
Burial will be at Gracelawn Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Bryan Medlock, Drew Deffenbaugh, Dan Deffenbaugh, Bill Daunis, Bobby Robinson, Colby Morgan, Louis Elkins and Earl Robinson.

Betty Jane Harwood Bell was born March 13, 1932 in Arkansas to William and Helen Crutcher Harwood.

She passed from this life on April 30, 1991 at Sparks Hospital in Fort Smith.

She was survived by her husband, James F. 'Jim' Bell; a daughter, Mary Bell Hill and a grandchild.

Funeral services were held at Ocker Chapel with the Rev. Michael Ebert officiating.
