Katie E. Basham, 86, of Mountainburg, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2019 in Little Rock.
She was born July 15, 1932 in Chester to the late T. K. Taylor and Fanny Belle (Trammell) Taylor.
Katie was the owner/operator of Basham’s Nursery, and was a longtime member of Alma First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed working in the yard, traveling, and spending time with her grandson, Kyle.
She is survived by her husband, Dale Basham of the home; a son, Mike Basham and wife Tina of Mountainburg; a daughter, Martha Ford and husband Dr. Clif Ford of Conway; a grandson, Dr. Kyle Basham and wife Kristin of Fort Smith; and a great-grandson, Kason Basham.
Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, February 4, 2019, at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Gracelawn Cemetery, with Dr. Clif Ford officiating.
Pallbearers will be Mike and Rex Woods, Gene Lech, Dr. Kyle Basham, Wes Kemp, and Dr. Bart Sills.
