March 21, 1934 - May 2015
Barbara Meadors Ballentine, passed away in May 2015 in New York City at the age of 81.
She was born in Springdale to Son and Stella Meadors.
Barbara spent much of her life as a homemaker and real estate broker in Alma. She and her family were active at Alma United Methodist Church.
Barbara had a beautiful voice and was the church choir director for many years. She was an Arkansas top producer in the 1980s for Century 21 Jim White Realty in Alma.
She and her business partners developed Collum Lane and other areas of Alma.
Barbara followed her daughter to California in 1991 and had a second real estate career leasing apartments in Orange County. She was a favorite of those who knew her.
She was known for her great sense of humor and serving heart. Barbara was laid to rest with her parents at Gracelawn Cemetery in Van Buren on July 8, 2015.
She is survived by her daughter, Martha Ballentine of New York City, and her brother and sister-in-law, the Rev. James and Ella Mae Meadors of Fort Smith.
