Mary Jane Bratton Williams was born January 13, 1860 to John and Olive Duck Bratton.
She passed away on May, 5, 1944 at the age of 83 years, 3 months, 23 days at the home of her son, C.B. Williams at 230 Lafayette St. in Van Buren.
She had been ill for the past several months, however her death was sudden, she died of natural causes, heart.
She had lived in Van Buren since 1901. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church.
She was the widow of John Silas Williams.
She was survived by brothers, James A. Bratton and Ezra Bratton; sisters Maude Cotton, Ethel Roland, Paralee Kelly and Laura Griffin; two grandsons, Wallace Williams and Gilbert Williams.
Funeral services were held at Ocker Chapel with the Rev J.T. Byrd and Rev. B.E. Haggard officiating. Interment was at Fairview Cemetery.
