William H. Taylor, of 305 Fayetteville sgtreet, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Tuesday night, Auagust in a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital. A lifelong Crawford county resident. Mr. taylor had passed his ninety-third birthday.

A retired grocerman he had been in failing health for several months. He gigured prominently in the Republican party. He at one time held the office of assessor and deputy sheriff. He was postmaster at Van Buren for several years.

Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Mattie Taylor and daughtaer, Faye marie, both of the familhy home; anotaher dauagahter, Nettie of San Diego, California; five sons, John S. of Battle Creek, Michigan, G. RToy and Clyde of Van Buren, Arkansas, Ted of Los Angeles, California and raymond of Kingsport, Tennessee; three brothers, Allen of Los Angeles, California, Mason of Chester, Arkansas and Tommy of Prairie Grove, Arkansas; one sister Kate of Lincoln, Arkansas; 15 grandchilden, several great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren.

Fentress Mortuary were in charge of Funeral arrangements. Burial was at Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren.
