Betty June Moore, 76, of Garfield died May 12, 2007, at Northwest Medical Center- Bentonville.

On June 17, 1930, in Anadarko, Okla., a black-headed baby girl named Betty June Harris was born to the home of Guy and Delta Harris. Betty June grew up on those dusty Oklahoma plains, went to school, church, and there met the love of her life, Harvey Moore.

On Dec. 17, 1948, Betty and Harvey were married and began their lives together in Anadarko. In 1951, they moved to Ardmore, Okla., where their three children were born. They lived there until moving to Garfield in 1973.

Betty became a Christian at a very young age and had a great passion for working with children, which was evident by her many years of service with children's church, Sunday school, youth camps and the attention and affection she gave to children wherever she was.

Everywhere Betty went, she was remembered for her cheerful smile, willingness to help and her keen sense of humor.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Guy and Delta Harris.

In the evening hours of May 12, 2007, at the age of 76, she left this life and was escorted by angels to her heavenly home.

She is survived by her husband, Harvey Moore of Garfield; two daughters, Judy Leach and husband David of Bentonville, Gloria Hoover and husband Gene of Rogers; one son, Harvey Moore Jr. and wife Becky of Garfield; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters, Barbara Howard and husband Joe of Sulphur, Okla., Nancy Paschen and husband Ray of Moab, Utah; one aunt, Lois Martinez of Anadarko; and a host of friends and family.

Services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 16 at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Brother Harvey Moore Jr. and Brother Jack Austin Jr., will officiate.
