*Obituary
David O. Smith, 914 East main, Van Buren, died Monday afternoon, April 22, 1968 in a local hospital. Born April 22, 1884 at Dardanelle, Arkansas, he was the son of David Mitchell and Froney Vaughn Smith and was 84 years of age the day he died. He was a member of the First Assembly of God church and a retired employee of the canning factory.
Survivors are his wife, a son, two daughters, a brother, a sister, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Funeral service was held at the First Assembly of God Wednesday at 2 p.m. with the pastor Edwin Burris officiating. Burial in Fairview Cemetery was directed by Ocker Funeral Home.
