1809 - July 23, 1874
Wife of John Marzoll
Mary Lewis was born abt. 1809 in Kentucky to Earle Eason Lewis and Elizabeth McAllister. She married 1) John B. Haynes/Haines about 1827 probably in Wayne County, Tennessee. They had at least 4 children all born in Wayne County, Tennessee: Claibourn Lewis (also spelled Louis) Haines b. July 22, 1828, Minerva P. Haynes b. abt. 1830, Sarah Haynes b. abt. 1832, and David Haynes b. abt. 1835. It appears they separated and then each married a second time. John B. Haynes/Haines married 2)Lucinda Harris June 25 1841 in Montgomery County, Illinois. He and Lucinda are found living in Illinois in 1850 as is John and Mary's son, Claibourne Lewis Haines. Mary Haynes is found living in Crawford County, Arkansas in the 1850 census with two of her children, Sarah and David. She is living with a presumed brother, James Lewis and his young son and next door to another brother, Joseph Lewis and his family. Mary appears to have married 2) John Marzoll between 1850-1860. Mary's grandchildren, Alfred Spivey, son of Minerva P. Haynes, and Ellen Winters, daughter of Sarah Haynes, were living with John and Mary Marzoll in the 1860 Scott County, Arkansas census. Ellen is still living with them in the 1870 Crawford County, Arkansas census and is listed with the surname of Marzoll. After Mary's death in 1874 John Marzoll married Magdelena Keifer July 22, 1877 in Crawford County, Arkansas. He and Magdelena are buried in Gill Cemetery, Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas. John Marzoll and Mary appear to have taken in Reece Price who is found living with them in 1870 and then with John and Magdelena in 1880. Reece Price Marzoll was born April 4, 1865 in Arkansas and died Dec 15, 1881. He is buried in Fairview Cemetery as is Mary.
