Mr. Charles T. Wilson, Jr., resident of Vanndale, Arkansas, departed this life on Monday, May 17, 2021, at CrossRidge Community Hospital in Wynne at the age of 57. Charles was born in Belvidere, Illinois on November 27, 1963, the son of Charles T. Wilson, Sr. and Sandra Jane (Tackett) Wilson.

Mr. Wilson was skilled in many fields and earned several corresponding certifications in automotive mechanics, welding, HVAC, and law enforcement among others. Charles worked in law enforcement for more than 20 years, most recently as Chief of the Parkin Police Department and as an officer for the Cherry Valley Police Department. He was also employed at Auto Zone and O’Reilly Auto Parts in Wynne. Charles was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed anything pertaining to cars, flying drones, and practicing his marksmanship. His favorite hobby was spending time with his family, and he will forever be remembered for his kind heart.

Mr. Wilson was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George Marvin Wilson; two sisters, Robin Lynn and Lisa Mae Wilson; and a grandchild.

He is survived by his loving wife of nine years, Vickie Diann Wilson of the home; three sons, Steven Wilson of West Palm Beach, Florida, Justin Wilson of Wynne, and James L. Grant and wife Christi of Wynne; four daughters, Rebecca Wilson-Lamastus and husband Harold of Wynne, Terri Revelle of Wynne, Ashley Steward and husband Brent of Wynne, and Mary Michelle Shepard and husband John of Jonesboro; 17 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Friends may visit at Thompson-Wilson Funeral Home in Wynne from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021. Graveside services will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Halk Cemetery near Wynne.

Those honored to serve as pallbearers are Jamie Counce, Jeffrey Guide, Alexa Lansford, John Shepard, Keith Tippett, and Tim Tippett. Honorary pallbearers are Gideon Teddy Roosevelt and T.J. Tippett.
