Mack L. Knight, son of Mr and Mrs. John Knight, was born July 23, 1889, in Rudy, Arkansas. Later , his parents moved from Rudy near the town of Van Buren. Living here in the rural community, he attended Church with his parents. He received his education from Douglas elementary school in Van Buren, Arkansas. He met and married Maggie Hinds in 1912. They made their home in Stattler, Arkansas. They had four sons. He joined the St Luke Baptist Church in Stattler and was ordained a Deacon of the Church. He and his family later moved to Van Buren, where his children could attend school. He joined New Hope Baptist Church and was placed on the Deacon Board and work until his death. He was ill for a period of about three years. Death came on Saturday, December 4, 1965.

Maggie
1890 - August 2, 1966

Maggie Viola Hinds Knight was born in 1890 in Arkansas. She married Mack Lee Knight on December 1, 1912 in Van buren, Arkansas. They were the parents of 4 children, all born in Van Buren, Arkansas. Maggie and Mack were members of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church of Van Buren, Arkansas. She died in Arkansas in 1966. She is buried at Fairview Cemetery in Van Buren, Arkansas.

SATURDAY RITES FOR MRS. KNIGHT
Services for Mrs. Maggie Knight, 75, 208 N. 31st Street were held Saturday at the New Hope Baptist Church in Van Buren with the Rev. W.A. Jackson officiating. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery.

Mrs. Knight was a member of the New Hope baptist Church. She died Tuesday August 2nd, 1966 at a local hospital.

She is survived by four sons, three sisters, a brother, 10 grandchildran and 10 great-grandchildren.
