PRAIRIE GROVE — Herman George "Junior" Harrell, 69, of Prairie Grove died Dec. 17, 2006, at Circle of Life Hospice Center in Springdale. He was born Dec. 9, 1937, in Chillicothe, Ohio, to Herman G. and Mary E. Bowsher Harrell.

He was an Army veteran of the Vietnam War, and a heavy equipment mechanic. He enjoyed traveling, drag racing and camping. He was a member of the American Legion, the VFW and the Eagles. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronald Joseph "Joe" Rickey, in 1999.

Survivors include his wife, Linda Scott Harrell of the home; two sons, Michael Rickey and wife Sonja of Bentonville, Larry Cozad and wife Laura of Chillicothe; three grandsons, Joseph and George Rickey, whom he raised, of Prairie Grove, Ryan Rickey of Bentonville; one brother, Gene Harrell of Chillicothe; one sister, Lorain Browning of Chillicothe.

A memorial celebration will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the American Legion Hall in Prairie Grove.

Cremation arrangements are by Heritage Funeral Home in Springdale.
