Don L. Smith, 71, of Hot Springs, received his ultimate healing and went to heaven on Friday
September 23, 2016. He fought a long hard battle of pancreatic cancer and touched many lives
this past 25 months with his infectious smile and laughter. Don told them Jesus was running through his veins. He was a devoted Christian and professed to all who came in contact with him.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hermon Smith, his mother, Mildred Smith, two brothers, Jerry Lynn Smith and Lyndell Smith, one sister, Marsha Jane Smith and grandson, Jeremiah Smith.

Loving survivors include his soulmate, whom God sent to him as the perfect union, of 55 years Norma; two sons, Jerry (Mary) Smith and Austin (Jill) Smith; his baby girl, Michelle (Jason) Morris; three brothers, Eddie Wayne (Debbie) Smith, Stephen (Jill) Smith, Karl Stanley (Wendy) Smith; sister, Rhonda (Charles )Montgomery; grandchildren, Amber Freeman, Laken Isham, Joshua Smith, Kristen Anderson, Noah Anderson, Brandon Smith, Crystal Smith, Sierra Morris ,Stefanie Culliver; great-grandchildren, Brayden Campbell, Daylan and Gage Freeman, Lydia, Eli and Wyatt Isham, Addyson Burchfield, Amy, Olivia Smith, Lexi and Bentley McCarthy.

Don was survived by a host of in-laws also known as the “out-laws”, nieces, nephews, and a host of friends and family, but the one thing we would like for you to know most about Don is once he met you and became your friend, you were no longer his friend, YOU were his family!

The family would like to thank you for all the prayers and support that you have shown, as Don
always said, “I love you”! He would not let you shake his hand anymore; he had to have a hug.

Pallbearers will be Stan Smith, Stephen Smith, Eddie Wayne Smith, Landon Smith, Lane Smith, Trent Smith, Noah Anderson, and Taylor Fuller.

Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM Monday, September 26, 2016 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home. The funeral will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 27, 2016 at Center Fork Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Van Glidewell officiating.
