He passed from this life June 11, 1905 in Van Buren, Crawford County, Arkansas.
He married April 13,1862 in Sonora, Calaveras County, California, Mary Virginia Berger who was born January 14, 1843 Montgomery County, Missouri, and died in Montgomery County, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Bacon Bourland and Nancy J. Hardwick Bourland-Putman and his wife, Mary V. Berger Bourland.
He was survived by siblings, Mary J. Bourland, Amity Abigail Bourland, William F. Bourland, Jasper Hume Bourland,Allie F. Bourland and Dr. Addison McArthur Bourland.
