Carl Jensen, 86, of Hot Springs, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord, Saturday, June 14, 2014. He was born July 14, 1927 in Bronderslev, Denmark to the late John A. and Karen M. Jensen. Carl was a charter member of Hot Springs Baptist Church where he was the former Grounds Team Leader and a member of Sam Windell Sunday School Class; and a member of the 3rd U.S. Army, Signal Corp, 97th Constabulary during 1945 – 1947. He loved hunting, fishing, woodworking and helping others. Carl is preceded in death by his parents and sister Anna Christiansen. He is survived by his devoted and loving wife of sixty-six and one-half years Joyce Jensen; son Mike Jensen (Sharron) and John Jensen (Terri) all of Hot Springs; brother Leroy Jensen of Laurel, Mississippi; grandchildren Brent Jensen, Stefanie Earnheart, Amanda Jensen, Alycia McInroe, Ashley McClard; great-grandchildren Alexis, Caitlyn, Cassidy, Madison, Reagan, Caleb, Dayton, Shelby, Maci, Presley, Bryce and Palmer. Service will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Smith and Rev. Gerald Taylor officiating. Burial will follow in Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Pallbearers include Brent Jensen, Michael Earnheart, Greg Jones, Rick Grisham, Corey Capshaw and Brandon McInroe. Honorary pallbearers include Sam Windell Class (HSBC); Jack Hilton, Joe Sims, Charlie Bettis, Jack Bales, Hughey Lambert, Rex Wehunt, Bob Brown, Loren Furnas, Doyle Hunter, Danny Baxter, Harper Hunting Club, Joe Sanford, Charles Oxford and Marlon Harper. Special thanks to Dr. Tim English, Dr. Fred Divers, Dr. Charles Wright, Arkansas Hospice and caregivers Nelly, Pansy and Lauri. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hot Springs Baptist Church Building Fund.
