Bill Taylor, age 72, of Hot Springs, died, Tuesday, January 15, 2013.
He was born on May 2, 1940 in Arkadelphia, the son of Leon Taylor and Rachel Martin Taylor.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Quieda Taylor; his son, William Thomas Taylor; and his parents.
Bill was the retired owner of Taylor's Body and Alignment Shop in Hot Springs. He was a member of the Moose Lodge and a longtime member of the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, being in the outdoors, and working as a gunsmith. Bill's greatest love was boat racing and attending the "Smokin' in the Cove" boat races held annually in Hot Springs.
He is survived by two sisters and brothers-in-law, Joan and James Gresham of Granbury, Texas and Linda and Ron Perry of Hot Springs Village; one grandson, Zach Taylor of Indianapolis, Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews..
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, January 17, 2013 in the Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Rev. Duane White officiating under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM, Wednesday evening at the funeral home.
