Ray L. Patterson, 75, of Hot Springs died Feb. 2, 2010 at his residence. He was born July 2, 1934 in Huntsville, AL to the late Archie G. Patterson & the late Beulah Huey Patterson. Mr. Patterson had worked as a salesman in both insurance and auto businesses, and after retirement, worked for Wal-Mart. He was a member of Piney Grove United Methodist Church. Mr. Patterson was preceded in death by 8 brothers, 2 sisters and a grandson, Jessie Graham. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Shirley Pollock Patterson of Hot Springs; son, Jonathan Patterson of Hot Springs; three daughters: Karen Graham & husband Sanford of Malvern, Kathy Smith & husband Marshall of Little Rock and LaDonna Combs & husband Dr. Chris Combs of Bentonville, AR; brother, Archie G. Patterson, Jr. of Columbia, TN; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. Funeral service will be at 1pm, Saturday, Feb. 6, 2010 at Caruth-Hale Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Jones officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 5-8pm, Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at the funeral home. Guests may register at. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Juvenile Diabetes Association in honor of Jack Walker Combs.
