Jo Ann Dean, 83, of Alma, Arkansas passed away on Saturday, December 20, 2014 in her home.

She was a homemaker, a former sales clerk for a furniture store but her love was the family run fruit stand. She was a member of the Rudy Baptist Church.

She was born March 21, 1931 in Alma, Arkansas to the late Stratton Philes and Edna Mae (Meadors) Douglas.

Preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Mary Katherine Boling; three brothers, Ralph, Don and J. D. Douglas and one great grandson, Nathan Shepherd.

Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Tuesday at Trinity Baptist Church in Alma with interment in Dean Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Alma. The family will visit with friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. Monday evening, December 22, 2014 at Ocker Funeral Home of Alma, 917 Hwy. 64 East, Alma.

Survivors include her husband, Billy Ray Dean of the home; four sons, Danny Dean and Wife Debbie, Gary Dean and wife Debbie, Ronnie Dean and wife Tanya, and Doug Dean and wife Tracy all of Alma, AR; two sisters, Grace Brooks of Alma, AR, Ruby Pulse of Fort Smith, AR; two brothers, Dick Douglas and wife Della and Bill Douglas and wife Babe all of Alma, AR; 13 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Zachary Dean, Colt Dean, Trenton Christello, Dustin Moore, Tony McClorey, Brian Christello, Daniel Shepherd, Darren "Chop" Jones and Dillon Work.

Honorary Pallbearers will be John Gramlich, Mark Gramlich, J. W. Floyd, Bobby Short and Jim Burkhart.
