Dean Cemetery: This quaint, tree shaded family cemetery is located east of Highway 71,off of the Dean Springs Road, on Dean Road in the Dean Springs Community of Crawford County, Arkansas. It is a small cemetery situated on a slight incline on part of the land originally settled by Elisha Dean, who was born in Pickens County, South Carolina in 1810, and was a son of Elisha and Jemima Dean. Elisha was married to Caroline, daughter of James and Elizabeth Parsons in 1835. He came to Arkansas in 1868, and to Crawford County about 1869-70. He was a farmer by trade. Elisha and Caroline were the parents of 10 children.
