Pollajean Griffin, 74, of Alma passed away Tuesday, March 26, 2013, in a local hospital.
She was born March 6, 1936, in Alma to the late Harley and Florene Shores.
She was a retired owner and manager of Budget Rent a Car in Fort Smith, a member of First Baptist Church in Alma, a graduate of Alma High School and a homemaker.
On June 22, 1997, Polly received a liver transplant at Baylor Medical Center in Dallas. With new hope, she started a second chance in life. She lived it to the fullest. She worked for Contrail Auction Co., and took many trips to Branson with her four grandsons.
Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Ken Griffin of the home; a daughter, Kellie Peters and husband Scott of Alma; a son, Kenny Griffin and wife Karen of Van Buren; and four grandsons, Noah Griffin of Arkoma and Newt Peters, Jake Peters and Cooper Peters, all of Alma.
Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday at Ocker Chapel in Alma with interment at Gregory Cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home in Alma.
Honorary pallbearers will be Warren Blaylock and Jan Nordin and her brothers-in-law, Charlie, John, Tommy and Richard Griffin.
