*When John Logan Henry Rawls was born on May 27, 1859, in Tennessee, his father, John, was 24 and his mother, Mary, was 16. He had three brothers and three sisters. He died on January 6, 1880, in Desha, Arkansas, at the age of 20, and was buried there.
