Lonzo A. Syrock, 95, Van Buren died Thursday, March 10, 1994, at a Van Buren hospital. He was a retired employee of FOrt Smith Folding Bed and Table Co. where he was a shop steward. He helped organize the Furniture Workers Union Local 270, lifelong resident of Crawford County and a Baptist.
Survivors include four daughters, Judy Wilson, Mary Phillips and Elise Phelps, all of Van Buren, and Emily Lebsack of Beaver Pond, Ore.; three sons, Claude, Sonny and Ronny Syrock all of Van Buren; two sisters, Lena Henson of Cedarville and Cora Titsworth of Van Buren; two brothers, Jess Syrock of Van Buren and Fred Syrock of California; 18 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Ocker Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Lloyd Summerhill and the Rev. Herbert Rogers officiating. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery near Cedarville under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Terry, Travis, Bill, Brian, Steve and Ronald Syrock II, Dale Phillips, Tommy and Jerry Wilson, Richard Lessack and Johnny Bell.
