Ford Rogers, 84, of Van Buren died Monday, July 31, 2000, in a local nursing home. He was the owner of Rogers Garage and was a grape farmer and representative of Apple Town Orchards. He was a member and former deacon of First Baptist Church of Cedarville and an Army Air Corps veteran of World War II.

Funeral was 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cedarville First Baptist Church with burial at Salem Cemetery in Cedarville under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

He is survived by his wife, Willie; one son, Richard of Van Buren; two sisters, Delma Riddle of Prosser, Wash., and Alta Durham of DeQueen; one brother, Albert of Susanville, Calif.; and one grandchild, Lana Rogers of Fort Smith.

Pallbearers were Ruben Miller, Kenneth McClendon, Cecil Freeman, Mike Spencer and Matt and Curtis Robinson.

Willie Maxey Rogers, 87, of Van Buren Daughter of John F and Mary E Matlock Maxey died Wednesday, June 1, 2005, at a local nursing home. She was a member of Cedarville First Baptist Church, a retired beauty operator and the widow of Ford Rogers.

She is survived by a son, Richard Rogers of Van Buren; a sister, Lela Rogers of Van Buren; and one grandchild.

Funeral service was held at 10 a.m. Saturday at Cedarville First Baptist Church with burial at Salem Cemetery near Cedarville under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers were Ruben Miller, Kenneth McClendon, Cecil Freeman, Curt and Joe Robinson and Mike Spencer.
