Carl Andrew Roberts was born August 7,1916 in Shibley, Crawford County, Arkansas; one of eight children born to the farm family of Charles William Roberts and Lula Jane (Richeson) Roberts. The family lived most of the time in Arkansas with a brief time in Choctaw, Oklahoma.
Carl married Ruby Elizabeth McMaster in Sebastian County, Arkansas on November 3, 1941. They had 57 years together and were blessed with two children, six grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. They spent their married life in Arkansas. Carl moved to Oklahoma in 2010.
Carl worked as carpenter and retired in 1975. Of course someone with good carpentry skills is never allowed to fully retire and Carl was good to help others with his skills when needed.
Carl was a World War II Veteran member of the 8th Armored Division of the United States Army.
Carl was inducted into the Oklahoma Centenarian Hall of Fame at 101 years of age.
