James Aubrey Brown, 88, of Van Buren died Saturday, July 1, 2000 in a local nursing home.
He was a retired lumber inspector for Fort Smith Rim and Bow Co., a member of the Cedarville Baptist Church where he served as a deacon, a member of the Van Buren Masonic Lodge No. 6, The Cedar Masonci Lodge No. 762 in Cedarville, a member of the Scottish Rite Bodies and a 33rd degree Mason, a member of the Van Buren Royal Arch No. 3 and past master of the Cedarville and Uniontown Lodges.
Masonic graveside service were 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 5 at the Salem Cemetery Arbor under the direction of Ocker Funeral Home of Van Buren.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; five grandchildren, Ronnie Hopkins, Sandi Westfall Arendall, Michael Westfall, Paul Pollock and Linda Phillips; seven great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were family and friends.
