November 29, 1881 - January 19, 1967
James B. Massey, Sr, 85 years old, of 311 Fayetteville Street, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Thursday, January 19, 1967 in a local rest home. He was a retired employee of the Jim Massey Company in Fort Smith, Arkansas, and a resident of cedarville before moving to Van Buren several years ago.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Nora Massey (now deceased February, 1967), who was also a patient at the rest home; two sons, James B. Jr. of Tulsa and Raymond of Cedarville; two daughters, Lula of Anderson, California and Eula of Susanville, California; two brothers, George of Sparks, Oklahoma and Albert of Fort Smith; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Monday at 2 p.m., at the Cedarville Baptist church with Garland Brackett and Vance Wiley officiating. Burial was in Sarah Grove cemetery under the direction of Ocker Funeral home.

October 17, 1887 - February 8, 1967
Mrs. Nora Massey, 79 years old, of 311 Fayetteville Street, Van Buren, Arkansas, died Wednesday morning, February 8, 1967 in a local rest home. She was born October 17, 1888 at Cedarville and was the daughter of John W. Tate and Billie Evaline Oliver. She was the wife of J. B. Massey who died January 19. She was a member of the Methodist church.
Survivors are two sons one of Tulsa, Oklahoma and one of Cedarville, Arkansas; two daughters, Lula of Anderson, California and Eula of Susanville, California; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held Saturday at 2 p. m. at the Cedarville Baptist church with Garland Brackett and Vance Wiley, the officiating ministers. Burial by Ocker Funeral Home, was in Sarah Grove cemetery beside her husband.
