BASTROP, LA. Funeral services for Mrs. Mary Frances Sewell, of Crossett, Arkansas, formerly of Epps, Louisiana, will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 9, 2013 at the Chapel of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop. Reverend Tim Post will officiate the services.
Interment and committal services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 9th, at the Olive Branch Methodist Church Cemetery, near Strong, Arkansas, under the direction of Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
Mary Frances Sewell was born January 17, 1927 at Strong, Arkansas to the late Marion Ezra Jones and Molly Vestal Jones. She passed away October 6, 2013 at the Stone Gate Health Center in Crossett, Arkansas. Mrs. Sewell, a retired nurse, is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ralph W. Sewell; a grandson, Allen Sewell; two brothers and two sisters.
She is survived by two sons, Bruce Sewell of Hamburg, Arkansas and Mike Sewell and wife, Alma of Sterlington, Louisiana. She is also survived by three grandchildren, Shelly Jones and husband, Shannon, Mary Elizabeth Sewell, and Mathew Sewell; five great-grandchildren, Jeffery Graves, Ryan Graves, Connor Jones, Ella Sewell, and Jacob Sewell; two sisters, June Johnson and Katherine Dean; a brother, Marion Jones, Jr. and his wife, Nellie; and many nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, October 8, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Cox Funeral Home of Bastrop.
