Brian Lane Ford, 59, formerly of Junction City, AR was born in El Dorado, AR on December 6th, 1956 to Wesley & Louise Ford. Brian had a great sense of humor and the ability to talk to anyone, which led to a successful career as a salesman for pipe, fittings and valve companies across South Arkansas & North Louisiana.
On July 14th, 2016, Brian received a call with a deal he could not refuse. He was called to an appointment from which he will not be returning. This new assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus! It includes a reunion with family members he has not seen in a long time, specifically his beloved wife of 38 years, Bonnie Manning, his parents Wesley & Louise Ford, his infant grandson Jaron Hill and the many souls he helped win to the Lord during his life. But the best parts of this deal are that he is now home with his Savior, free from pain and free from the illness that took his life away far too soon.
Brian enjoyed many things in his life. He had a great love and appreciation for music. In high school band he played the drums, and continued playing the drums throughout his adult life in rock bands, country groups and church bands. He loved to fish and especially love to hunt, and was an excellent marksman, which was confirmed by the many trophies on his wall. He also loved watching the Junction City Dragons football..
Above all, Brian loved the Lord. He loved reading books, listening to tapes about the Bible, never missed an opportunity to witness and share his faith.
He is survived by his son Chad Walton Ford (Heather) of Freeport, TX; his daughter Sara Carren Hill (Jeremiah) of Katy, TX; his sisters Meredith Lewis and Regina Adam; his brothers Michael, Myron and Darrell Ford and a cousin Gary Ford. He had many dear friends throughout his life, but among those he held in highest esteem were Charlie Hicks and Duane Amis.
He is survived by six grandchildren who were the love of his life: Ashleigh & Gabriel Ford, Seth Pine, Izabelle Ford, Chad Ford Jr., Wyatt Ford, Serenity Ford and two step-grandchildren: Christian and Noah, a number of nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family is very grateful for the wonderful care Brian received from the staff of Autumn Grove Cottage in Katy, Texas as well as the staff of AMED Hospice who cared for him in his last days.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Monday, July 18th at Perry’s Funeral Chapel.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 10am on Tuesday, July 19th at Olive Branch Church with Elder Myron Ford and Bro. Duane Amis officiating. Burial will follow in Olive Branch Cemetery under direction of Perry’s Funeral Chapels..
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Olive Branch Cemetery Fund c/o Kevin Hux, 412 Mt. Moriah Rd., Junction City, AR 71749
