Dorothy (Hollingsworth) Wiemann, 94, of Alma, passed away Wednesday, November 2, 2016 in a Van Buren nursing home.
She was born to John L. and Myrtle Davenport on October 24, 1922 in Alma.
She graduated from Alma High School. She went to work for Southwestern Bell as an operator and later married Mike Hollingsworth and together they operated the Mt. Gaylor Tower and Gift Shop for many years. Later in her life, she met and married Ernest Wiemann. She was a long-time member of the Newberry Chapel U.M.C.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Jack, Punk, Lloyd, Harold and Jim Davenport; and two husbands.
She is survived by a sister, JoAnne Rogers; a brother, Sandy Davenport; and several nieces and nephews.
Memorial service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Newberry Chapel U.M.C. in Alma officiated by the Reverend Robert Jeffrey, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
