1880 - March 11, 1964
Mrs. Mary E. (Aunt Mollie) West, age 84, passed away March 11, 1964 at a Fort Smith, Arkansas hospital after a long illness. Funeral services were held at Newberry Methodist church, north of Alma, Arkansas Saturday morning at 11 a.m. with W. T. Watson of Alma officiating. Burial was at Newberry Cemetery with Edwards Funeral Home in charge.
Aunt Mollie was born at Waldron, Arkansas but had moved with her parents, the late Marshall and Harriet Sloan Whittington to the Fine Springs community at an early age. She was married to the late Jack West who passed away in 1940. She lived in Rudy, Arkansas 14 years before moving to Fort Smith three years ago.
She is survived by one brother; one sister; several nieces and nephews and a host of cousins.
