Alfred Weeden, 79, of Roland, OK. entered into rest on Wednesday, January 15, 2014 in Roland, OK to Jess and Ruth Weeden. He was born December 18, 1934 in Adair, OK. He was a member of Butterfield Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, AR., a chemical engineer and loved wood working and gardening.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sadie Beth Weeden, his son Sam Weeden and his grandson Anthony Weeden. He is survived by 2 sons Jeff Cosper of Cullman, AL. and Ned Weeden of Roland, OK., 1 daughter Kathy Rice and husband David of Fairbanks, Alaska, 3 brothers Freddy Weeden and wife Brenda of McAlester, OK., Elbert Weeden of McAlester, OK. and Bobby Weeden of Fort Gibson, OK., 1 sister Violet York of Tulsa, OK., 6 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, January 20, 2014 at Butterfield Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, AR. with interment at Newberry Chapel Cemetery in Alma, AR. Family will receive friends from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.

Pallbearers will be Morgan Weeden, Jerald Fox, Bobby Weeden, Freddy Weeden, Elbert Weeden and Jeff Cosper. Arrangements are under the direction of Lewis Funeral Chapel in Fort Smith, AR.

Beth Weeden, 80, of Roland, OK died Thursday, May 2, 2013 in her home.
She was born March 8, 1933 in Dewey, OK to the late Edward and Jesse Bowen.

She was a retired LPN, and a member of Butterfield Assembly of God in Van Buren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Sam Weeden; and a grandson, Anthony Weeden.

She is survived by her husband Al Weeden of the home; a daughter, Kathy Rice of Fort Hood, TX; two sons, Ned Weeden of Roland, OK, and Jeff Cosper of Cullman, AL; two sisters, Peggy Smith of Thibodaux, LA, and Barbara Nichols of Bartlesville, OK; two brothers, Joseph Bowen of southeast Texas, and Jerry Bowen of Joplin, MO; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 4, 2013 at Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Chapel with interment to follow at Newberry Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren.

Pallbearers will be Freddie Weeden, Bobby Weeden, Morgan Weeden, David Rice, Elbert Weeden, and Aaron Cosper.
