Joe Richard Dodson, 72, of El Dorado, AR passed away September 16, 2019 at his residence.
He was born August 1, 1947 in El Dorado, AR to Travis Tillman Dodson and Georgia Louise Mason Dodson. Joe worked as a project manager’s salesman for Apache. He was a member of the Masonic, the Order of Demolay and Mt. Union Baptist Church.

Preceding him in death are his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Williams Dodson; son, Joey Dodson (Sadie) of Denver CO; daughter, Ashley Louise Dodson of El Dorado; grandchildren, Mattie Dodson of Arkadelphia, AR, Kinnon Dodson (Hanna) of El Dorado, AR, Aidan, Iain, and Caspian Dodson of Denver, CO and Ashton and Luke Dodson of El Dorado, AR; two brothers Marvin Dodson (Melinda) of El Dorado & Jimmy Dodson (Liz) of Cabot, AR. Special to him were Joe Paul, Connie, Jordan & Parker Hammett of Junction City, AR and Kalan Moss (Brenton) of Baton Rouge, LA.

Funeral services will be held 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2019 at Mt. Union Baptist Church with John Ayers officiating. Burial will follow at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors.

Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday at Mt. Union Baptist Church at Faircrest.

Memorials may be made to Mt. Union Baptist Church Youth/Music, 653 Mt. Union Rd., El Dorado, AR 71730.
