Henry Corbett Brazzel, 94 of Vilonia, AR formerly of Caledonia, passed away February 15, 2014, at his home. He was born on January 10, 1920 to Joseph Frank and Mary Lou Pepper Brazzel in Caledonia, AR.
He worked as a welder on pipeline construction and was a member of the VFW in Little Rock. Henry was of the Baptist faith. Henry was a veteran of World War II; he was a Sergeant in the Army Air Corp’s 8th Air Force, 422 Bomb Squadron based in Chelveston, England. Henry continued to serve in his retirement and was honored by the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Little Rock for volunteer service.
Preceding him in death are his parents; several infant sisters and brothers; a brother, Eldridge Brazzel and sister, Betty Louise Brazzel Dison.
Survivors include three nieces, Beth Hefner of Columbia, LA, Ginger Roberts of Caledonia, AR, Darline Vick of Strong, AR; a nephew, Roy Dison, Jr. of Caledonia, AR; and numerous great and great, great nieces and nephews.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, February 22, 2014 at Olive Branch Cemetery under the direction of Young’s Funeral Directors with Rev. Brandon Phillips officiating. The family will receive friends after the services at the Brazzel home place, 510 south Caledonia Rd, Junction City, AR.
