Doyle D. Reynolds, 86, of Melbourne died Tuesday, March 1, 2011 at a hospital in Calico Rock. Born September 12, 1924 in Oxford, Arkansas, he was the son of Ezekiel and Alice (Wilkes) Reynolds.

His family was very important to him. He was one of a kind and family members looked to him as a role model. Doyle enjoyed playing golf, traveling and gardening. He was a member of the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church in Violet Hill. Survivors include three daughters: Dearrlene Bartell of Plano, Texas; Mavis Jacobson of New Braunfels, Texas; and Sharlene Radach of Borger, Texas; nine grandchildren: Jon Bartell, Darrin Bartell, Chad Bartell, Shawn Cattin, Ryan Jacobson, Justin Jacobson, Joshua Reynolds, Christopher Radach, and Erica Radach; twelve great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Edna Reynolds; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Claria Yancey Reynolds; a son, Larry Reynolds; and thirteen brothers and sisters.

The funeral will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Fairview Missionary Baptist Church with Randy Bailey officiating. Burial will be private. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Melbourne. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren.

And that of his wife,
Claria O. Reynolds, 80, died Friday, Oct. 25, 2002. Services will be at 2 p.m. today in Brown Funeral Directors Chapel of the Fountains with the Rev. Bill Sizemore, pastor of Fellowship Baptist Church, officiating.

Mrs. Reynolds married Doyle Reynolds on June 30, 1945, in Wenatchee, Wash. She was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband; three daughters, Dearrlene Bartell of Plano, Mavis Jacobson of New Braunfels and Sharlene Redach of Borger; two brothers, Stanley Yancey of Melbourne, Ark., and Duane Yancey of Batesville, Ark.; three sisters, Lola Flyn of Ash Flat, Ark., Mildred Thomas of Evening Shade, Ark., and Cleffie Berry of Memphis, Tenn.; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials be to Crown of Texas Hospice, 1000 S. Jefferson St., Amarillo, TX 79101.
