Margaret L. "Maggie" Rozell, 89, of Short, Oklahoma, died Saturday, January 20, 1996, at a Muldrow, Oklahoma nursing home. She was a homemaker, charter member of the Short Baptist Church and a member of a pioneering Crawford County family. She taught in rural Crawford County schools for a number of years and was the widow of Talcum L. Rozell.
Survivors include one daughter; Tessie; of Fort Smith; one son; one sister; one brother; six grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral service was held January 23, 1996 at Short Baptist Church. Burial was at Newberry Chapel Cemetery in Alma, Arkansas under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were family members. Honorary pallbearers were Dr. Jerry Russell, Dr. Michael Cole and the staff of Muldrow Nursing Home.
