Charles Leon Clay, 73 passed away January 21, 2013 at his residence. He was born October 30, 1939 in Joy, Arkansas to the late Ervin H. Clay and Opal Holden Clay.

Mr. Clay was a member of the Mt. Hebron Baptist Church for 60 years. He also served at the Joy Mountain Fire Department for 25 years. He took pleasure in bowling and was a long time member of the Searcy Bowling League. He was a cattle farmer for many years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will truly be missed by all those who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Clay of the home; two sons, Michael Clay (Donna) of Joy, Arkansas, and Ronnie Clay of Indonesia; one daughter, Donna Martinez (Richard) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; and one sister, Barbara Hill (Don) of Jacksonville, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Lance, Ashley, Frank, and April; two great grandchildren, Cody and Kristin.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Wayne and James Clay.

Visiting hours will be held Wednesday, January 23rd from 6-8 PM at the Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24th at Mt. Hebron Baptist Church in Joy, Ark. under the direction of Searcy-McEuen Funeral Home with burial following at Mt. Hebron Cemetery.
