They had nine children in 18 years. He died on November 1, 1971, in Searcy, Arkansas, at the age of 82, and was buried in Joy, Arkansas.
Leona Victoria Quattlebaum was born on March 5, 1889, in Arkansas. She married Pinkney Hodges Clay on September 1, 1907. They had nine children in 18 years. She died on May 9, 1973, at the age of 84, and was buried in Joy, Arkansas.
