SPRINGDALE - Fern M Artripe, 83, of Springdale died June 1, 2003, in Springdale. She was born Sept. 20. 1919, in Aransas Pass, Texas, to George and Lillian Ives Artripe. She moved to Springdale in 1938. She was a nurse and worded many years for several area doctors. She later volunteered for the Ladies Auxiliary at Northwest Medical Center, the former Springdale Memorial Hospital. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Springdale.
Survivors include two brothers, Harry Artripe and Leslie Artripe, both of Springdale, and many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Springdale. The Rev. Charlie Foster will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Circle of Life Hospice, 620 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, 72764.
