Bill-Billy Gene
May 23, 1930 - June 20, 2013
Bill G. Berna, 83, of Alma went to our Lord on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at a local hospital.
He was born May 23, 1930, in Alma to the late Frank and Dora Berna.
He was a retired maintenance supervisor for California Textile Mill in Hanford, Calif.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Annette Johnson.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Tessie Berna of the home; a daughter, Brenda Riley of Alma; three sons, Rick, Terry and Brian Berna, all of California; a sister, Mary Ragsdale of Fort Gibson, Okla.; 15 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
The family will host a memorial service at 10 a.m. Friday at Solid Rock Tabernacle in Alma with interment to follow at 11 a.m. at Newberry Cemetery in Alma. Burial is under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home in Van Buren.
Pallbearers will be Rick and Terry Berna, Jim Riley, Gary Kelly, Jason Dowdy, John Dowdy, Jason Riley and Nathan Berna.
Tessie
December 1, 1932 - March 3, 2018
Tessie Marie Berna, 85, of Alma, passed away Saturday, March 3, 2018 at her home.
She was born December 1, 1932 in Hitchata, OK to the late Clem and Mellie Adams.
She was a homemaker, and a member of Solid Rock Tabernacle. She loved quilting.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill G. Berna, and a daughter, Annette Jenkins.
She is survived by a daughter, Brenda Riley of Alma; three sons, Rick Berna, Terry Berna, and Brian Berna, all of Armona, CA; a sister, Vaneta Jones of Oregon; twelve grandchildren, and twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Family hosted memorial service will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Solid Rock Tabernacle in Alma followed by a graveside service 11:00 a.m., Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Newberry Cemetery in Alma, under the direction of Edwards Van-Alma Funeral Home of Van Buren, AR.
